## How SEONMUL chooses products

This describes a method and the research behind it, not what any product does.

- By what each maker declares on the pack and by the published research on its ingredients; never by trend or paid placement.
- An ingredient evidence register covers 34 active ingredients and ingredient classes, each graded A to D by the strength of its human studies (A: several randomised trials; D: lab or brand data only). Today: 9 graded A, 13 B, 8 C, 4 D, citing 88 PubMed-indexed studies, each with its caveats.
- For each ingredient the register also records the claim wording that Korea's MFDS and the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive allow, limits and bans by country, halal notes for Malaysia and Indonesia, and heat-and-humidity stability notes.
- 20 specific marketing claims were re-checked against the original studies; those that did not hold up are not used. Three ingredients are excluded on regulatory grounds.
- Candidate products (24, from 16 brands) are checked against national notification records, such as Malaysia's NPRA and the Philippines FDA, before any can be offered in a market.
- Grades describe published research on ingredients, not how a product will work for a person. SEONMUL makes no medical, treatment or efficacy claims.

Before a product is offered anywhere, we also check that it is notified for sale there. The grades describe research on ingredients, not how a product will work for you.

### Are the products genuine?

Every product is bought through Korean wholesale channels and reaches you sealed in its original manufacturer packaging. We never open, decant or repackage a product.

### Can I buy now, and what will it cost?

Not yet. Nothing is sold before opening and prices aren’t set. A place on the opening list isn’t an order, a reservation or a discount.

### What happens to my details if I join the list?

We ask only for your country, a name or nickname, an age range and one way to reach you. They are kept in a private sheet, never sold, and deleted within 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
